HAMBURGER SOUP

1 pound ground sirloin, well browned, then drained

3 cloves fresh garlic, sliced and chopped

1 stalk celery,

1 sliced carrot

3 to 4 red skin potatoes, cut up(Use potatoes that are about 1 ½ to 2 ½ inches in diameter)

One 14.5 ounce can of diced tomatoes

2 tomato cans of water (or a little more until it is the way you like it)

½ to 1 Tablespoon of seasoned salt (to taste)

Brown the sirloin in the pot ½ pound at a time, well-browned gives the flavor,

Remove the meat and lightly brown the garlic and celery

(I like to drain the meat)

Add all the rest and bring to a boil, simmer until potatoes and carrots are done

Of course you could add to this

Onions if you want them….brown with the meat

½ cup or ½ can of green beans (or frozen ones that you cook or leftover ones) ...add the extra veggies near the end just to heat them.

Or peas or corn or whatever most pleases your taste buds and family

This makes about 6 servings and even with the potato in it does well when frozen for planned overs!
